Assured Patient Lifting Services (APLS)

An experienced team of engineers service and maintain all the major moving and handling products for acute care facilities and care homes throughout the UK.

APLS are based at the groups Grange Moor site in West Yorkshire.

APLS has been part of Prism Medical UK since 2009.

Carefree

Established in 1991, and based in Wigan, Lancashire Carefree are the North West’s leading supplier of hoisting solutions to the social and care sectors.

Carefree offers equipment rental, asset management and decontamination services.

The site includes show room and training facilities.

Carefree has been part of Prism Medical UK since 2005.

Freeway

Established in 1993, Freeway are located in Kinmel Bay, Rhyl, North Wales. It is also the site of the Prism Medical UK Headquarters.

New product development and the manufacture of hoists, shower chairs and stretchers for the UK group of companies is based at Kinmel Bay. The Kinmel Bay site also includes showroom and training facilities.



Freeway branded products are supplied to the other Prism Divisions and sold via a network of Prism dealers/agents.

Freeway has been part of Prism Medical UK since 2004.

Liftech

Established in 1993, Liftech are based in Totton, near Southampton. Liftech provides a range of products including:
  • Ceiling track hoists
  • Slings
  • Automatic door openers
  • Door entry systems
  • Stair lifts
  • Through floor lifts
  • Short rise lifts
Liftech also service and maintain all major moving and handling products throughout Hampshire, Dorset and nationwide.

The site at Totton, includes a show room and purpose built training facilities.

Liftech has been part of Prism Medical UK since December 2009.

Movement2



Established in 2004, Movement 2 are based in East Goscote, Leicestershire.

Movement2 are specialists in ceiling track hoists, moving and handling, and bathing equipment – providing products and services to private clients, local authorities, care homes and special schools.

Services offered include home assessments, rapid/emergency installation, service and LOLER inspections, technical backup, 24hr callout cover, friendly professional care and advice. 

Moving and handling training is also offered.

Movement2 have travel hoists and  portable equipment for rental purposes and holidays.

Movement2 are an approved hoist installation agent for Leicestershire Social Services and work with Nottingham Rehab Supplies to maintain Social Services hoists in Lincolnshire

Movement2 became part of the Prism Medical Group in April 2011.

Saluss

Established in 2002, Saluss are based in Kinmel Bay, Rhyl, North Wales.

Saluss has service and repair contracts with some of the UK’s largest healthcare groups. An experienced team of engineers provide nationwide coverage and offer a complete range of maintenance and repair services for all types of:

  • Patient handling equipment
  • Specialist bathing equipment
  • Auto sluice/bed pan washers
  • Electric nursing beds
  • Weigh scales
Saluss has been part of Prism Medical UK since 2009.

Test Valley

Based in Romsey, Hampshire, Test Valley was established in 1992.

Test Valley offers the assessment, supply and installation of:
  • Hoist and slings
  • Door openers
  • Stannah stair lifts
  • Vertical and step lifts
After sales service and support is provided by a team of experienced Test Valley Engineers. Its customer base includes Local Autorities, County Councils, NHS Trusts and Architects.

Test Valley has be part of Prism Medical UK since June 2009.

Westholme

Established in 1984, Westholme are national suppliers of hoisting solutions to the social and care sectors.

The Westholme Division is based at Grange Moor, West Yorkshire. The Grange Moor site has training and showroom facilities.

Sling development and manufacturing for the UK group of companies is based at Grange Moor.

Westholme has been part of Prism Medical UK since 2002
